Applied geology at the GeoZentrum Nordbayern is divided into two working groups:
Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology
Hydro & Environmental Geology is an interdisciplinary field that integrates different subjects from geology, hydrology, and chemistry to stable isotopes into an exciting field of research.
Modeling of Environmental Systems
The group of Applied Geology and Modeling of Environmental Systems focuses on the development of numerical models to unravel the complex interactions among geosystems.
