I am fascinated by the fundamental evolutionary and ecological processes that generate and maintain the unique diversity of life on Earth. These complex systems are characterised by a constant change of environmental characteristics and the biotic context.
Informatics and quantitative analysis exploiting the increasing amount of available data are combined with novel approaches for generating new primary information to address fundamental questions.
