FAU GeoZentrum can support teachers by supplying information in the form of teaching materials, lectures, and events.
Further education for teachers in the field of geoscience
The GeoZentrum actively supports teachers in higher education. We take part at training courses at the ‘Teacher Training Academy’ in Dillingen several times a year. At these sessions, we give talks about natural resources, sustainability, climate change, volcanism, utilizing geo-materials such as CO2-reservoirs and much more!

Visits from school classes / lectures at school
Are your students interested in geoscience? The GeoZentrum welcomes you to visit, with your class! We offer lectures, laboratory tours, and opportunities for your students to visit one of our lectures.
We also offer bespoke talks at your school about geospecific topics. Here are some example talks we offer:

- A journey to the center of the earth (almost) – learn about volcanic eruptions and the secrets they can reveal about the earth’s interior.
- What raw materials will we use to build in the future? From mining to urban mining.
- How we can use fossils to protect living species that are threatened by climate change.
- The rock cycle/ rocks and minerals – what can rocks tell us about Earth’s history?
