Nature Research highlights: East African Rift System old!

Nature Research highlights GeoCentre research in Uganda: Scott Jess and team in collaboration with StrucTec at the GeoCentre in Earth and Planetary Science Letters show, that the western branch of the  East African Rift System is probably as old as the eastern branch.  This means the whole East African Rift system developed as once and we need a mechanisms that explains this development!
