Erlangen paleontologists and TERSANE members met in Paris for the 5th International Palaeontological Congress. A total of 12 talks and keynotes were presented on diverse topics such as latitudinal selectivity, body size and paleobiogeographic patterns during mass extinctions. Diversity patterns and parasites in the fossil record were also part of the research presented at this conference.
