Prof. Wolfgang Kießling among the top 50 of the most-cited scientists worldwide
We warmly congratulate Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kießling on his outstanding achievement in the Ranking of the Stanford List 2025. According to the latest edition, a total of 236 researchers from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) are among the world’s top two percent of most-cited scientists. Eight FAU researchers are ranked among the top 50 in their field, including Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kießling (# 45) from the GeoZentrum Nordbayern (Chair of Palaeontology). This year’s ranking of the Stanford takes into account a total of 236,313 researchers.
