The Mineralogy Research Group at the 5th ICCCM
This year, the Research Group of Mineralogy (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg) was once again strongly represented at the International Conference on the Chemistry of Construction Minerals (ICCCM 2025) in Garching, contributing numerous presentations. With a total of eight oral presentations and two poster contributions, we were able to exhibit our latest research findings. Of particular note was the recognition of one of our posters with the Best Poster Prize by the GDCh, Research group Chemistry of Construction Materials.
In addition to the scientific contributions, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing collaborations and to intensify exchanges with international colleagues. It was particularly delightful to meet up again with former members of our research group, which also provided an opportunity for discussions about their current professional experiences.
Participation in Garching was therefore not only a considerable scientific success, but also highlighted the importance and added value of academic exchange within the international research community.
