Congratulations! Poster Award for Aixala Gaillard

Ms. Aixala Gaillard, a doctoral researcher at the GeoZentrum Nordbayern, has won the award for the best poster presentation at the “Joint European Stable Isotope Users Group Meeting” (JESIUM 2025) held in Groningen. This event that takes place only every four years.
Ms. Gaillard conducts research within the BMFTR-funded project IsoGW – Groundwater Isoscapes for Germany, where she and her project partners from academia, public authorities, and industry are, for the first time, creating a map of the isotopic distribution of groundwater across Germany. The aim of the IsoGW project is to provide a novel tool for the long-term sustainable use of groundwater resources through the collection and visualization of isotope data.
Her outstanding contribution at the most important European conference in the field of isotope research received widespread recognition and was honored with the award for Best Early-Career Scientist. We warmly congratulate her on this remarkable achievement!
