Effects of climate change in alpine systems
Researchers led by Prof. Manuel Steinbauer from the Chair of System Paleobiology at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), together with scientists from eleven countries, have succeeded in proving for the first time that species diversity on mountain peaks across Europe is increasing and that this is happening at an ever-faster rate. They have now published their findings in the journal Nature (DOI: 10.1038/s41586-018-0005-6).
