Master Thesis by Jan-Filip Päßler (GZN Alumnus) published in Frontiers in Earth Science
Jan-Filip Päßler, a master’s student in paleobiology at FAU, collaborated with Emilia Jarochowska, Michel Bestmann, and Axel Munnecke to use EBSD, a materials science method, to examine fossil structures crystallographically in order to classify them into biological groups. The work was published in Frontiers in Earth Science in an open access article and appeared on the FAU website and in the “Informationsdienst Wissenschaft” portal. The results are also available as a graphical summary.
