Research interest: Ore formation and transport of elements in MVT ore deposits

My PhD research investigates the formation of Mississippi Valley-type (MVT) ore deposits, which are important sources of zinc and lead. These deposits typically form in foreland basins through large-scale fluid migration driven by nearby mountain belts.

I am exploring the physicochemical conditions that lead to MVT ore formation, with a particular focus on whether the associated reactions act as a net sink or a source of CO₂. By combining fieldwork with advanced geochemical modelling, I aim to better understand fluid flow, mineral reactions, and the environmental impacts of ore-forming processes.

In addition to my PhD research, my main interests lie in structural geology—particularly how mineralizations are controlled by geological structures—as well as in the application of geophysics to mineral exploration.
